Awards and Recognition
In 2013, the Small Business Administration (SBA) selected MIT Lincoln Laboratory as the national winner of the prestigious Dwight D. Eisenhower Award for Excellence in the Research and Development category. This award recognizes, by category, a single large organization who has excelled in their utilization of small businesses as supplier and subcontractors.
MIT Lincoln Laboratory’s Small Business Office also annually nominates a small business for the Small Business Administration (SBA) Small Business Subcontractor of the Year Award. The nominee, recommended by the Laboratory’s technical staff, has exemplified superior work and provided exceptional service to the Lab. In conjunction with the SBA’s Small Business Subcontractor of the Year Award, MIT Lincoln Laboratory’s Small Business Office hosts an annual award ceremony held in the Director’s Office. This event recognizes the Laboratory’s Small Business of the Year, celebrates its contributions to the Lab, and supports the Small Business Office’s overall mission to promote the capabilities, hard work, dependability, and dedication of small businesses.
